Butter has saturated fat. Saturated fats are the number one causes that increase your LDL aka the bad cholesterol.
Discussion
Never stop exercising. I am battling high LDL now and exercise makes a big difference quickly
Lmao. Try again. Ratio of LDL to HDL is what matters. Iβd be dead if butter caused HD. My calcium score is 0.
Should me mandated for doctors to read
π― most doctors push meds not nutrition.
Cholesterol is an essential part of your metabolism. Your body creates it much more than you eat it, typically.
It creates it when it needs more of it and it needs more of it when you're in 'fat storage' mode. If you eat alot of butter AND you're eating cakes all day and keeping your blood sugar maxxed out like most of the people in the studies you would reference for this belief, then yes, I suppose eating all that butter isn't great.
But thats an industry trick, long since having captured these regulators and advisory bodies, to remove focus from the real problem. Such a large amount of Americans are completely addicted to carbs, cheap enough for all, and keeping their blood sugar maxxed out their whole life.
Yes, this. At this point, you lose a lot of credibility when you try to deny the fact that saturated fat is one of the leading factors contributing to declining cardiovascular health. We have mountains of evidence that shows this.
One of the strongest predictors of CVD risk is ApoB levels and not only does SFA have the strongest correlation with elevated ApoB, but we also know so much about the biological mechanisms of action through which this occurs.
Please, educate yourself on ApoB, how it works and the pathways through which it allows cholesterol to penetrate the endothelial layer. Nearly all biomedical labs in the US will perform an ApoB test even though it is not included in your typical lipid panel. If you have elevated LDL-c levels, please get an ApoB test to confirm your CVD risk as there is no denying ApoB's role here.

Imagine being an "MD" and still believing this nonsense.
