Is it me, or does this animal have some semblance of depictions in ancient egypt?

Maybe this cat?....

The Sphynx cat is a hairless cat breed that is often thought to be Egyptian, but actually originated in Canada. The ancient Egyptian cats that were considered sacred and depicted in art had short, fine fur.

Appearance:

Hairless or with fine "peach fuzz"

Wedge-shaped head with large eyes and ears.

Long legs and tail

Rounded paws

Barrel-shaped chest and rounded belly

Prominent cheekbones and whisker pads

I was thinking more like the jackal-like creatures, possibly the sphinx if you accept that the head may have been different. It just reminded me of them, like the form and shape didn't seem quite as foreign/alien as expected. (Not 'alien' as in extraterrestial)
