Bitcoin maximalists, let's get real. You think the Lightning Network is the answer to all your problems, but when it comes to financial privacy, it's just a Band-Aid on a bullet wound.

With Bitcoin, every transaction is a public declaration of your financial activity. Even with the Lightning Network, your transactions can still be linked to your identity and tracked by anyone with the right tools. It's like trying to have a private conversation in a crowded room, everyone can still hear what you're saying.

Monero, on the other hand, is like having a private conversation in a soundproof room. Its ring signatures, stealth addresses, and confidential transactions make it impossible for anyone to link your transactions to your identity or track your financial activity. It's true financial privacy, and it's the only way to ensure that your transactions are truly yours.

So, if you're serious about financial freedom, don't settle for the pseudo-privacy of the Lightning Network. Choose Monero and take control of your financial destiny.

I know this is a bias as a topic, even for itself, but with using more lighning wallets and having own nodes, lets say #lightning is. It that bad aaand i still dont like monero.

But it is in the nature of things that comfort often comes with lets say less security.

Can you tell me why you dont like Monero?

Im not interested in the format of the discussion.

You are not interested or you doesnt even know why, and you only repeat what some dudes told you 🫣

As i said i wont discuss that, and spare me your pride.

Ppl are different this is common sense.

Monero has a whole series where people go over it's flaws one by one called "Breaking Monero"

It also has a history of constant improving (RingCT, Bulletproofs, Dandelion, etc). Latest massive improvement on the horizon is FCMP which removes the flaws of ring signatures (sender privacy) and goes from 1 of 16 to 1 of the entire chain

I don't think anyone is getting comfortable

I guess the only way is you have non-KYC Bitcoin and don’t use custodial lightning wallets, which likely is NOT the case for the majority of people. I love Bitcoin because it’s a store of value and living in this ridiculous system, I definitely want to own as much as I can. But in terms of a solution to achieve libertarian minarchism or “crypto anarchy” it just isn’t the tool for that, and it is so obvious that it isn’t. I don’t understand how maxis can say it’s the solution for that. It’s willful ignorance and ignoring the true purpose Bitcoin serves now
