I swear like 100 of the 700ish I'm following are inactive now.
I cleaned up my feed the other day(I don't have individual lists, ive kept one from the start) and was dumbfounded by just how quite my feed actually became after not seeing the same users post every 5-30min....
It's like over the last 5mo, something has been going on that alot of us arnt aware of....
Tried to reply to this and Damus crashed 3 times. Let’s try again …
I don’t have any specific names in mind but this morning I saw at least 3 names that were inactive for a long time.
But you’re right, many left. I also cleaned up my list and saw how many are gone.
People come and go. People are the life blood of social networks that’s why they require constant growth
How can people bring that much warmth and value into the world then just

I miss the advice.
I miss taking pictures of our feet.
I miss the zapathons.
I miss the sense of family.
I miss the weirdness.
I miss nostr feeling like breathing fresh air.
I miss typos becoming month long jokes.
I miss the collaboration.
I miss the smiles.
I miss the zaps.
I miss the laughs.
I miss global filled with real people.
I miss the vibe.
I miss the 🫂💜🤙
I miss my feed feeling alive.
I miss the trust.
I miss shouting into the void.
I miss the fun.
I miss coming together to help someone in need.
I miss the randomness.
I miss the people that are gone who made nostr what it was....
Now excuse me while I wipe these man tears off my face.

Yes, it is a temporary fatigue and it is quite normal. A lot of accounts do take breaks. On Nostr it might be a bit different because the probability of lost key is bigger (there is no I forget my password option), but very little people will willing kill their online persona. Our egos are too big to do that.
