Yeah. This is isn’t going to happen overnight. The complexity of the global value chain and innumerable interdependencies in the global trade system are very real. You’re right. But at the same time, the trend and the direction that capital is taking is telling a very interesting story, that I don’t think most people, say, even five years ago, would have believed was in the cards.

Would be nice to see capitalism drawing the line b/ween profit making & supporting local businesses in the US. US’s manufacturing output over the years shrunk to 1/2 of china’s. I think Australia may have one of the best free market practices. But instead of the rise of hegemony supply chain or super powers claiming stakes, I’d also like to see more small manufacturers globally tapping into the import export market and holding their own.
