A zap is a way to send money to anyone directly. Peer-2-Peer.

There are no norms relating to zap amounts. You’re under no obligation to zap.

2. Like in real life, you can’t unskaka a shaka. Currently delete and edit is not part of nostr.

This one is more complicated to explain why, because you cant really delete on other platforms either - they just provide the illusion that you can. But for now embrace the typos and real life nature of nostr 💜

Thank you! I so appreciate your clear explanations and easy-to-read formatting! 🙌🏻

Not having the ability to delete or edit is a bit scary - but I love your embrace the typos approach.

People sending money through zaps is also a little weird. My neurodivergent brain needs more info…lots more. Down the research rabbit hole for the next week I go! 😂

One of the best ways to start to learn would be to add a wallet as described in that document. And play with them. Let us zap you and then see what it feels like 🤙

Feel free to ask questions 🫡

Thank you!

Correction: Delete *is* actually supported in nostr by some apps, but not all. For the technical description, see NIP-09.

A client could have a delete function, but there is no way to verify if relays actually delete the note
