Alright then. I just had a Catholic priest call me stupid for voting for Trump in the last election. Catholic priests are afforded their opinions, but as a priest, I’ve always thought that they’re on the job all the time and their job is to help spread the good word of God and general joy to the people. Us lay people need someone to look up to and a priest should be one of those people. I feel that this priest has really let me down. I told him that there are plenty of stupid people in the world, but that he could use some humility and grace in his differences of opinion and even intolerance of others. I’m sure he’ll get right on that.

Why he’s a Catholic priest and pastor of a church, I don’t know. Maybe he feels let down by life. I get it buddy, but calling me stupid isn’t the way to solve it.

This isn’t the first run-in I’ve had with the guy. He’s likable in person but apparently a bit questionable online. We all have our faults and sometimes they let others down.
