Every religion is about submitting to the divine.
Discussion
There’s some truth to that, but the language is tricky and slippery. In Christianity (at least where I’m from), it is more often phrased that you « accept » Jesus and God into your life. Seldom do you hear submit to Jesus. Maybe when they’re bringing out the Old Testament god. Jesus dying for our sins is an unique act is spiritual emancipation and freedom.
Indeed language is alsways tricky. I assume it is the reason for religious wars... It is also a richness to have different religions so that one who is seeking God can benefit from different wording and approaches.
To have a really profund discussion on this matter would require to define each word we are using, such as "god", "divine", "accepting", "submitting"... and our own very personal perception of them. Lifelong learning and working :-)
