I’m naming my boat “Lost My Quays”

Nice! Mine was named Star Fire when I bought it.

I’m desperate to learn to sail. Ever since I heard southern cross by CsNY. It’s on my next year list.

Sailing is one of the most dynamic activities. So much is in play once. I went to sailing school in Ft. Lauderdale and got licensed for a fifty footer.

Thank you for the link! I’ll check it out. I just want to take my family out to sea with a starlink and just get out of dodge on our own steam!!

My captain was so pirate awesome!

"Never take sand to the beach."

Love it!

You don’t need all this. Why you need is YouTube and a boat. Buy a small boat and figure it out. Maryland school of sailing has so many great YouTube videos, as well as so many other people. I never took any classes. And look at me now.

I’ve never been invited to FAFO on the open sea!!! I wouldn’t mind paying for some instruction but I’m also a prodigious solo learner. There’s also cheap ass boats for sale down here. If I don’t make it I’ll look for your keys while I’m down there.

Starts small. When you’re learning, look for the days with 5-10 knots of wind, max. Smaller boats sail better in lighter air.

We should al be so fortunate to have 80 feet of waterline, nicely making waves. I’m a tad short of 80’. Star Fire only has 27.5’ of waterline. Which is hard to believe, since she’s 34’ overall. It’s hard to believe she has 6.5’ of overhang.

Splendid!!
