I think community notes is a bad idea. I’ve seen some good ones on X but I’ve also seen some woefully uneducated ones.

They’re usually accurate when it’s within the realm of the community making the note, otherwise it’s down to popular consensus.

I think zaps are more resistant to this but isn’t foolproof. There’s no reason that a motivated group couldn’t plough a lot into zaps to “validate” a false community note. It does make the barrier to entry higher though which is good.

Yes I am not saying it's completely foolproof, we will always find ways to game things but we can add additional layers, like age of account, authority, network of followers all as metrics and even user feedback on community notes that can encourage or discourage certain behaviour

There's no central authority here to review content, so it will always be up the community to do it, they would do it in the comments anyway, this is just another way/UX of promoting that behaviour
