Nostr + tithing. The church is asleep on this tech, I want to wake them up. For the Kingdom! Imagine zapping missionaries in restricted nations??? This is bullish.

I am a pastor of a small church and a former missionary. I have been trying to convince our leadership about BTC for three years. Everyone thinks I'm crazy. I think it will eventually be a huge blessing in missions.

It's critical for sensitive missions-funding where privacy and safety from government surveillance and control. Non-KYC Bitcoin across borders... Chefs kiss for the church militant.

It's a beautiful thing

I'm about to release a book that will be helpful with this. In the meantime this seminar I did may be helpful.

Yes! Although there needs to be a market on the missionary's end to convert BTC into practicalities, right? Without that, hard to implement

True. A lot of these countries have places to convert to buy necessities.

Obviously, El Salvador is ready... and I'm assuming growing parts of Africa.

Unless we had a borderless service like strike that was non-KYC. Fingers crossed this is being worked on

I wonder about the safety implications, though. How much about ourselves are we doxxing on Nostr, and who can see it?

I'm sure at least slightly less than centralized social media

Or is it more? I would imagine each relay you’re connected to is a potential leak of info. VPN is probably a must.

Yes, running a VPN is important regardless

Proto- Keynesianism is condemned in the Bible in Amos 8:4-7. No king but Christ!
