Re-reading The Screwtape Letters.

Like I said; Stay kind of Humble. If you have gifts, like I do, don’t be afraid to use them. Just know your weaknesses. Don’t be a pussy essentially. God hates that.

Pride in Humility:

Screwtape warns that a person can take pride in their humility, which defeats the purpose. This leads to a subtle form of pride, where they are proud of how humble they are, turning humility into yet another way to feel superior.

This contrasts true humility, which is a focus away from oneself and a recognition of both one’s strengths and limitations, with false humility, where the individual is trapped in self-obsession, even under the guise of modesty.
