Why are people not flocking to Nostr? Is it that the signup procedure is too techy? Content too shitty? 🤔 It seems journos in Switzerland are more drawn to Bluesky.

I'm new to platform. It takes time to convert
i think nostr doesn’t do a good job at user discovery and there is too much reliance on a global feed which works if a single community is using it, but if you’re not a bitcoiner you don’t feel like there are your people here.
I like to leverage hashtags at the moment to keep an eye on certain topics as they arise. But we are very early and I think nostr will grow. Once users get their head around key pairs and how the protocol enables them to move across apps (as those develop and mature) with the same identity, users will see the appeal in time.
Having the bluesky company probably helps e.g. they have a job opening for a Community & Strategic Partnerships Lead. Nostr is pretty chaotic in comparison. I expect if nostr ever starts getting more mainstream users it'll be via a app built atop of nostr that executes really well and has a contact point for journos to talk of visions and such stuff..
