Switzerland π¨π shouldn't bend because of the US πΊπΈ Instead let's cancel the F35 procurement and buy European jets instead. Making ourselves more dependent on the USA is simply foolish.

I'll now click "Publish" using my smart watch.... π₯π₯π₯
π₯³ Got myself a bangle watch that you can program yourself. And, I have to say, if you want a watch that just works with many nice features, this isn't for you...
...but WOW is this watch cool!! I turned it into a remote track pad for my fedora laptop in approx 2h π My students will be so impressed..... in my head, at least, hehe...

Get up, make coffee, check if one of the maniacs used any nukes... Just a normal morning in 2025.
If you haven't, go try Zen Browser. It's still very Beta, but I love it

They're unfit to lick Zelenskyy's boots.
In a surprise move to absolutely no-one, BP and other firms are shifting their focus to oil and gas and cutting back on clean energy.
So that's off the bucket list π
If status quo bias includes the network effect (which isn't just down to individual preference/bias), then yes
Yes, I understood it's your general outlook and given without ill will, don't worry. My cautionary point remains though.
"It is no longer safe to move our governments and societies to US clouds ... We now have the bizarre situation that anyone with any sense can see that America is no longer a reliable partner, and that the entire US business world bows to Trumpβs dictatorial will, but we STILL are doing everything we can to transfer entire governments and most of our own businesses to their clouds." https://berthub.eu/articles/posts/you-can-no-longer-base-your-government-and-society-on-us-clouds/
I don't believe that's true. I'd also caution: It's never a good sign when your ideology leads you to tell others you don't know about their depth psychology and supposed trauma...
hmm... while i don't think meditating drunk or hung over is a fantastic, i haven't noticed any adverse cognitive effects once it's out of the system and you recovered. (the added benefit being that while it's in the system, it makes life and everybody around you more interesting and fun π )
so i guess the question is more about the how long-lasting that effect is. you seem to think that lasts longer...? if so, what evidence do you have to support that claim?
The Austrian Armed Forces provide very sober and insightful updates on the war in Ukraine. Here's the English version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDRjughhXMg
The best people? Maybe, idk. But content-wise, sorry, what I'm getting is still very much "meh..." I spend much more time on Mastodon even though I'd prefer this tech a lot.
Exclusive: US could cut Ukraine's access to Starlink internet services over minerals, say sources
Nice, I'd be interested in hearing whether you have more effects.
Myself, I was mostly wondering whether my short-term memory would improve (it's so horrific with names that it's positively impolite). It didn't, sadly. It's probably more a question of training and, as a good friend keeps telling me, paying attention in the first place... π
