Lady at the cosmetic store helped me pick out "makeup for my age". I think she did a good job. All Clinique and very light.

All the heavier stuff was getting trapped in my wrinkles. 😭

Lips are just a bit of berry-colored lipliner and some chapstick. Plum blush and creme eye makeup, and tinted moisturizer as a foundation.

And then some killer mascara and an eyebrow pencil.

I applied it all myself in about 2 minutes.

Here I am, in a mirror. I guess this is more what I look like, to other people. Selfies are always a bit off, due to the lens.

You know, like a fishbowl.

I love how animefilter.com always gives me a fake tan.😅

Hubby says it looks like I'm more alert and cute, but he can't really tell I'm wearing makeup. Perfect.

yeah, i think it's the light weight and the subtle lining of eyes and eyebrows that accentuates your eye shape and colour

always nice when you get good feedback, and double nice when it takes you actually less work!

Yeah, idiot-proof makeup for women too blind to apply eyeliner. 😅

I legit can't do it, anymore. I was all squinting, last time, and had to hold my glasses up in front of my face and peer through them to draw and it all ended up squiggly. Had to remove it all and redo it.

I'm too old for that crap. 🤣

Ma'am, do you have makeup for aging office workers with cokebottle glasses?

Never thought about this problem for makeup before.

My face trim looks great without glasses, and then I put them on and realize I'm imagining my entire appearance. Someday I'll just go to the barber every week.

I've met 70+ people that tell me that they decided to throw away the glasses and trian their eyes to get better.

I don't know if this works for advanced astigmatism or not.

It does feel like the eye doctor is railroading me into stronger glasses everytime.

astigmatism is asymmetric prismatic effect right? so your glasses are opposite prisms to reverse it - as in, it alters what looks like the horizon to be higher or lower?

i worked at a health center at one time and i remember many times hearing while in the optics lab where i was assigned to do cleaning glasses ready for the customer, about "prisms" and astigmatism, i think was the reason for it

i don't know, i think yes, because ultimately the optic center of the brain can recalibrate "horizon" which is a composite of visual and proprioception and ear canal sensing stuff

i don't know what the proper way to perform this training might be, but maybe part of it is putting a plano on either side of your eyes first, so get two relatively cheap training glasses for this, and wear them when doing activities where balance and perception of up/down/left/right are important... probably simple stuff like bouncing balls off walls and suchlike

my own vision problems that i only recently developed are further short range focus and double vision, caused by the kidney damage and some secondary thing involving my opto-motor-nerves

fixing this problem i have refused to take the shortcut and use magnifiers, firstly, and these do reduce the double vision poor convergence, but the real cause of it all is really the main thing

so, idk, my feeling is that your brain just hasn't properly adjusted to the mismatch between the eyes, the prismatic distortion and your ear/proprioception, so, yeah

that's my suggestion anyway

please do tell me if i have surmised something that alternative eye health people have been saying for a long time, i just never have had much to do with anyone closely who has issues with astigmatism, or vision probems especially

having had my own recently due to this kidney problem has changed everything though, i hope this gives you some breadcrumbs towards how to heal your vision at least to some extent

nerves have a lot to do with it, as does the brain... but optometrists have one hammer and they use it on everything

I have an injury from a car accident.

yeah, my vision is all screwy due to some kidney problem, idk, probably a combination of kidney stones and some early stage spleen/pancreas stuff

and the fucking garbage in the supermarket makes it a lot harder to resolve, artificial sweeteners and modified starches

but for what it's worth, i'm sure you can adapt if healing can't be achieved... a little cheerleading helps i think

I need to go for more walks and look at things further away.

I have an aging babyface, which is sort of disconcerting.

this might sound weird but i have had this understanding somehow, this intuition, since i was young, that i was aging slower because i was going to live a longer life, for since, idk, maybe age 9, i've believed that i would live to see Halleys Comet return which means i'm predicting i would live 140 years

there's lots of things i can say about what's behind all that and associated things, and every so often even more points in favor of this hypothesis appear

blessed by God, and protected by Angels, i say

slow aging is a sign of it, i'm sure of it

did you know that the existence of the man Lao Tzu is equally controversial as the existence of Jesus, by the way?

what's interesting is that Lao Tzu literally means something like "old baby" and i'm sure you are familiar with the ascension of Enoch and of course Jesus to the "eternal life"

Angels. forget the aliens story, this is ANGELS handiwork.

well, ok, so halleys means i live to about 90 actually

my great grandfather (father of my opa) died at 99

but anyhow, i still think it's gonna be longer

He said I have Schrödingers Face: 35 and 45, depending upon whether you've seen my birth certificate.

yeah, someone told me 38 a few weeks back, and he was 10 years off

😎

just should add that during the worst of my recent health problem with my kidneys i think i added another 5 years to my appearance but i have almost reversed that

slow going progress but i say it to you just to suggest that some of the things that are helping me dial back the decay may help you

I need a lot more fresh air and excersize. And less work. Being overworked makes it hard to sleep, and then I feel hungry all day.

There is make up for ages? Why wear any at all? Never understood makeup on women. I don't get it.

Because it looks nice.

I suspect you look nice without it. And will stay looking nicer longer without it. Seems damaging to the skin.

It's always possible, to look even nicer.

you look pretty. good job.

Yeah, she was good.

It’s perfection.

🥰

Can hardly notice you're wearing any. Nice
