Why do so many grown men on this platform say the word re*tarded? Itโs so intellectually lazy.

How? It's only recently that the offensive variant has come into disfavor
It instantly lowers my opinion of whoever uses it and nullifies any argument they were trying to make.
folks use it around here a lot as yet another word to call themselves dumb or joke about with friends
using it as an actual insult... not my cup of tea
Oh noooo your reply is at my 3 at reply limit on a topic โบ๏ธโบ๏ธ Adore you and team level up re: the word ๐๐พ
๐ค interesting, limiting yourself to 3 replies is a new concept
i guess folks just came here to be free
but the "just cause you can, doesn't mean you should" idea will remain
Seriously, I like & follow you both, but being offended by symbols & noises is (in the truest sense of the word) genuinely retarded behavior. Whether you are personally offended by the word, or you are taking offense on behalf of some imagined victim, it just makes no sense at all.
There are no bad words, there are only retarded people who can't handle some words.
Treating some words as though they have some special power only weakens you.
I can handle whatever you throw at me. I donโt use certain words out of respect, not out of fear.
Because Iโm not going to be word-policed by you or anyone else. Retarded is a fine word and deserves its place in the modern vernacular to describe a world that is, largely retarded.
I'm not a man and I'm short, but I'm still proudly retarded.
When I say something like "a country is retarded"... I'm talking about a country's current state of subdued or hindered societal progress. It makes sense in my mind, and it makes sense linguistically; is there a better phrase that communicates the same meaning in as few words? ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Why not? If you just want to say that something is stupid why would you overcomplicate? Not everything has to be expressed in a highly intellectual form.
Someone called me that on the tweeters. Even dishes out a hat. So I added it to my profile pic and wear it proudly. #Stayhumble
