Amtheyst and Primal are tracker free. They must be "anti-pattern" rebels. Even though Amethyst will shadowban you due to faulty logic by it's creator. Primal forces you to use their CDN and Relay and we don't know if they run analytics on that end

You can still use amethyst with any relay you like so they wouldn't be able to shadowban, am I right ?
How can they shadowban otherwise, its only via relay and their caching servers that you can point to whatever you like, for instance copy everything from primal
No, because the app has an algorithim than looks at every post you made on a relay and counts it and if you made the same post over it's limit, it blocks you to the user of the app.

One thing is to be banned or suspended on titter but you really need to earn it on NOSTR..
You can’t be banned here. If one app or relay does, you have dozens of apps and thousands of relays to choose from. It’s a great example of how Nostr is censorship resistant.
I think one can be banned across many relays instantly for posting inappropriate content but this is a different conversation
There is always something to learn from these nuanced discussions, I also do not like to see the same message appearing 10+ times on my feed and all related notifications but we are still early innit?

On repeating post more than 5 times. Does that mean if I repost something, like when I'm shilling my soap, more than 5 times ever mean I screwed up? Or just doing it repetitively in one instance? Slightly confused.
Some relays will rate limit you for 5 events in 60 seconds. I have never seen you do anything spammy imo.

I'd had the Damus relay and the Snort relay, probably others, temporarily ban me in the mornings for mass GMs and mass PVs 😅

I disagree with verita but I think by default clients should be geared towards free speech, however they should make it easier to curate an experience.
We all came to Nostr because Centralized Social Media wouldn't let us say what was on our mind, are we going to let clients re-create Social Media 2.0?
Those tools should exist, and should be easy to access with client recommendations, or network recommendations but they should not be on by default since the default assumption is Nostr is a Free-Speech protocol.
Also why was Verita banned, I get he posts unsavory stuff, and I also saw the post about "spamming" but arbitrary metrics could end in essentially a type of shadowbanning.
But yeah, it's a fine line since illegal stuff, etc. but he hasn't done anything illegal to my knowledge, though I understand he is a controversial figure.
I welcome opposing views and ideas as long as they are ready to slug it out in a battle of wit and reason.
Example. I don’t follow him. A lot of the people I follow have him blocked or reported. I don’t see his notes on Amethyst. This is a web of trust metric to protect from spammers and scammers. I’m using Damus on a loaner iPhone I have right now to test a feature. So I see his notes which I don’t normally see.
