So been trying to wrap my head around this ordinals/inscriptions drama... Here is my super low committal, I-dont-know-anything, opinion:

If the economic incentives exist in which rational people decide to buy block space for jpegs, than that isn't an attack. It's gas filling it's container. Should be expected. Bitcoin shouldn't be so fragile that every user has to abide by the same religious credo. Bitcoin is a system of economic incentives. The decisions that people make around those incentives is not the system.
