Started a trip from Kingman, Arizona to St. George Utah.

Walked outside to start packing. Flat tire.

Ugh. Okay, I filled the tire.

Drive to Safeway to get cash back. Bought Pringles but no option given to get cash back.

Tried another purchase at a different station, to no avail.

Went to Chase Bank to get cash. Paid $6 to get $20. Oh boy!

Thankfully, made it to the cheap local tire shop that only takes cash. They repaired the flat and we got on the road.

I look down, and something catches my eye. The battery icon is on in my dash.

Made it not quite halfway to St. George Utah, and limped our van into an auto parts store.

Ordered an alternator that will arrive tomorrow.

I didn't plan on today's adventures in car repair, but my wife and I are fine and healthy. Thank God. The adventure is still fun.

I have lotsa family in those parts. Best of luck the rest of your journey!

When you asked if I wanted to go on an adventure with you, I was thinking more of our normal chill, everything working great but with new and beautiful scenery and such. I wasn't thinking of the Christmas adventure where we were stuck on the highway for a while because of car trouble, and wasn't sure we'd make it.

Maybe we need to be more specific in our talk of adventures next time 😅

But either way, whichever adventure it ends up being, I'm so happy to be doing them with you!! 🥰
