Faaaaa that’s a big number.

What do you mean their cash flow can’t handle $2K? You are giving them the money, not withdrawing it.

It’s seems like a technical issue rather than anything else.

I don't trust the withdrawal now, feels like a rug pull. But i hope you're right.

Any update from them yet?

Just got credited but withdrew it all.

Oh nice that’s a relief. Still fishy though.

Did you ever get any responses from WOS throughout this ordeal?

They replied to my email, they asked to which address i sent the funds to. 12h later funds were credited but got no more replies after that, so not sure if they did it or if the system simply did.

Either way, i'm out of WOS, that was not cool!

What is the purpose to use them to begin with if you run your own node? 🤔

Zaps!! LN address, they were honestly first movers on Nostr.

Or else no other particular reasons, i try and test everything in the ecosystem and i know i'll leave money on the table.

Oh but You can do the same thing with other non custodial wallets like Zeus

Yes, i actually do but never got to make it work reliably on mobile as i am constantly on the move. Will revisit.

You can also use Alby in a non-custodial way and have them handle all the nwc and “front end” stuff and have the sats sent to your node.

Also easily connects with Zeus.

You can a LNURL with nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm and then connect it with your node. That’s the easiest 👍🏻😁

I have a Lightning Node and a GetAlby custodial wallet and I use Zeus to access both. How do you connect GetAlby to personal node though? Currently I don’t think one is connected to the other. 🤙🏻

Read carefully. Instructions are a little outdated i think, s as you can more use REST URI and don't need to include the certificate, just the macaroon

https://guides.getalby.com/overall-guide/alby-lightning-account/features/connect-your-own-node-to-your-alby-account

All of the information you need to set it up is in your lndconnect URL which will look like this:

lndconnect://xxxxxx.onion:8080?cert=yyyyyy

It helps to use a text editor to separate the elements so you can paste them into the Alby node connect interface.

Uptime and personal preference. If your node is down your zaps will fail. I’ve done it both ways and found using nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm custodially to be faster and very reliable but I always sweep my sats to my node when I have more than $10 worth of sats.

This has been my mindset as well. But was just looking to learn the process. 🤙🏻

Definitely not cool and is of concern. I like nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm for NOSTR zapping and nostr:npub1ex7mdykw786qxvmtuls208uyxmn0hse95rfwsarvfde5yg6wy7jq6qvyt9 for buying sats, but try not to let them build up on either wallet. I know you had a specific case where you needed a large number of sats on dns custodial wallet though. Just glad it all settled out correctly eventually.🤙🏻

What a relief! 😅 Let’s not do that again. Please tell us if you get a response back.
