i wonder how many of their customers use Lightning? how many asked for Lightning withdrawals? tbf it's way easier and user-friendly to withdraw to an EVM chain than to a self-custodial Lightning wallet. they are a VC-backed company so they must bend the knee to the shareholders.
Enabling Lightning withdrawals was somehow much more complicated than building an EVM-compatible sidechain and forming a whole new company and brand around it.
LMFAO. 🍭🤡

I can only speak for myself, I’ve been using them since probably 2021 and I’ve been asking them for Lightning withdrawals since day one.
if they had significant demand for this feature they'd have implemented it imo. we use Lightning a lot in our smol internet bubble but outside of that... not looking great.
I built a Breez SDK wallet in 4 hours that could have done all of this.
yeah, we have tech that makes this easy. my point is that almost no one uses it, and they have to serve their customers and shareholders. a handful of people asking doesn't move the needle. we need numbers.
Their customers were Bitcoiners and they slapped us all in the face.
that's catering to a niche within a niche, it can be bad for business and growth. looks like they chose to trade the customer loyalty of Bitcoin maxis for a larger TAM and more profit opportunities. this is a business after all, VC backed, so they might not even be profitable.
Definitely not. They bent the knee to chase leverage and yield. Lightning is. It difficult at all to implement.
