Apple’s podcast app is literally the worst in the world.
How can it be so slow? It’s so slow, only if you’ve experienced it you can understand what I am taking about.
Why can I not search inside of a specific podcast for a specific episode? Is that so hard to do? Apple is just the richest company on the planet.
Why does it not find episodes sometimes? Or it just randomly unfollows podcasts.
Wtf Apple?
Apple has lots of shit apps. Hell. Their books app is abysmal. I believe it's bc they don't spend time on them. They spend time on OS / FIRMWARE improvements over client software. They think their golden app store is gonna solve the client software problems and then limit the snot out of it. Good hardware, shit software.
I use their own apps whenever possible to avoid harvesting data from other companies. And they work best in the ecosystem.
Music is fine for me. Still slower than Spotify, but it's OK.
Calendar works well for me too.
Messages is actually quite nice imo.
But Podcasts is a shitshow.
I experience the same with Amazon music app. Just totally overloaded and slow.
I have a big music library that I can listen to via subsonic but as I don't buy CDs anymore, the newest album on there is from 2014. But the point is that even subsonic loads my music from my harddrive at home faster than Amazon needs to startup fully.
Have you experienced the loading times in Podcast?
I don't listen to podcasts via Amazon.
I still use RSS feeds for that.
