I always wonder why some people when they are about to drop a controversial statement always preface it with “I am no conspiracy theorist but..” 🤔🤔 For starters it was the See-eye-ay that developed that term to stop people from questioning the gvt’s findings on the JFK assassination. There is no shame in being an independent thinker, after all, aren’t we living in a world run by conspiracies?

Most people are highly resistant to disagree with the (perceived) opinion of the majority. C.f. Asch conformity experiments.
