The really natural end objective for X, as well as facebook and Amazon etc, would be a currency - as per the failed libra (?).
At that point these companies are effectively sovereign states. I expect that to resurface - if they aren't bound into CBDCs at a high enough level that it's not worth their while to fight for their own.

I think that's a stretch. Most countries financial regulations would make it impossible to be blocked from your financial life due to something you do on twitter.

The amount of people that will do this won’t be surprising to me.
People will realise that any centralised entity, company or organisation can block, ban or banish you, whether it be in the financial, retail or hospitality sectors.
