like that was absolutely a girl with the heart of a marine
really grounded really smart really good girl
she really wanted to be a marine biologist
but this girl was capable of working three blue collar jobs at once she was a relentlessly hard worker & very brave
how was the narcan frozen in the ambulance of all damn things
yea accidents happen
yea people get sober, slip up one time, misjudge a dose
tale as old as time i get it
& i get that this is grief
& trying to make sense of it
but not her man
i swear to god not her
dan said his house was going nuts for a whole week
lights flickering
tv turning on & off
banging
she was there a whole week
making so much noise
he thought he was losing his mind
i saw her when i was up there
when dan was down in naples with his mom
a figment of my imagination?
who can see to say
she did not speak
she simply corresponded in thanks & shared agreement about being there for dan
the day after?
like a reverie
i went back inside for a moment to grab something i left
& fell to my knees crying cos dozer was there
the same
