I have seen the charge from an incoming call set off an electronic fuse. That being said it was staged and the end of the wires were on either side of the phone and it was the incoming call only.

Now i used these electronic fuses for fireworks so i don’t think theres much in a plane that could be that sensitive way back in the fuselage. As for the gas station Cheese you could have had a freak gas fight accident good thing someone was quick thinking lol
