The Church of San Giorgio Maggiore in Naples holds a hidden artistic secret. 🎭✨

Beneath Alessio D’Elia’s *San Giorgio e il Drago* lies an older masterpiece by Aniello Falcone (c. 1645). Two artists, two eras, yet the same legendary battle—Saint George and the Dragon.

A glimpse into the layered history of Neapolitan art. 🏛️🎨

Once in Naples, I randomly this church and had a quick chat with a homeless man that was hanging out inside, it turns out he knew the people responsible for the church and took me to see that hidden painting which I had no idea existed.

Being kind to others can open doors (or paintings) that you never expected :)
