A late GM, Christmas and a Happy New Year
I'm back home from my Christmas Cruise.
So that was the strangest thing ever.
Once I boarded the ship and switched to iPhone only on a Red Bull CruiseShip eSIM or Land based O2 roaming, I could no longer post notes.
I could view all posts, but could not post anything, despite not changing a thing.

They did not report an error, but the posts never showed up. The closest thing to an error was Damus saying it failed to upload media to nostr:nprofile1q9n8wumn8ghj7enfd36x2u3wdehhxarj9emkjmn99ah8qatzx96r2amr8p5rxdm4dp4kzafew3ehwwpjwd48smnywycrgepndcu8qd3nx36hguryvem8xdr5d56hsmt5xfehzemtxejxkeflvfex7ctyvdshxapaw3e82egprpmhxue69uhkc6t8dp6xu6twvaex2mrp0yhxxmmdqqsfnz2sqsflkatdssmeztxr90s8xrd7r07xkhfwaa6eu9zkcguljpg0va3vj
I was able to log onto the nostr.build web interface to upload media, but no client app worked.
Some obvious things to state:
Yes, all 4 apps had my private key stored directly and yes, all 4 apps worked perfectly on both mobile and WiFi up until boarding the cruise ship.
The only possible anomaly was that my relay nortis.nostr1.com from nostr:nprofile1qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq3yamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3jxyhxxmmd9uqzqjeh6m7lh30zt3r07xt9mja0acufe74h7j40phd6nw33pz68m56ygemrhx had expired, which I've just topped up, but I'm a Damus purple and always include that relay in my lists.
So, here's the plan. I'm going to post daily from tomorrow about my cruise, reporting historically 2 weeks from the past.
So tomorrow, I will post from Monday 22nd December 2025.

First day for lunch, a lady goes up to the Pasta section at the onboard buffet and asks
"Do you have shrimp?"
The guy behind the counter answers:

The man replies:
"and what Pasta would you like served with them?"
The lady replies:
"I don't like Pasta"
The man replies,
"ma'am this is a pasta station, we only do pasta dishes".
She replies,
"that's fine, I'd like Spaghetti with Shrimp, but hold the Spaghetti".
