If you democratize warfare that much there's also the possibility that citizens will begin to view warfare as a rather futile ritual. Human capital will continue to devalue itself. It's just as Nikola Tesla said in his prediction.

Lol. Posted this before. Here it is again.

"The loss of life will become smaller and smaller, and finally, the number of individuals continuously diminishing, merely machines will meet in a contest without blood shed, the nations being simply interested, ambitious spectators. The geopolitical situation seems to be headed down this path. As impactful as these wars have been on us, casualty rates are nowhere near as severe as past global conflicts like WWII and Vietnam.

Yea, but two years is nowhere near a long enough time frame to use when trying to determine the long-term outcomes of global conflicts.

I agree.

But the point of war is coercing populations into doing what you want.

Sufficient dominance of machines and capital over guts and brains could create the dynamic described, where machines wage war and humans can't meaningfully contribute.

I'm not sure I'd want such a world, as it would probably resemble The Matrix without the comforting simulation.

Fortunately, drones seem to be winding the clock back for now!

Look, here's how it will most likely play out in the long run, imo:

1. More and more people will grow tired of war. I'm already seeing many display this type of attitude around my neighborhood and others. It's become far too costly for the civilian population with the attainment of absolutely nothing in return.

2. Certain nations will cease to exist or merge with neighboring countries.

3. Corporate and government leaders will begin to stab each other in the back till the point of infrastructural implosion; something I believe we're already witnessing.

Personally, I think everything will accelerate much faster than we expect. When I say long run I mean 10-15 years; which I know doesn't sound like a very long-term time horizon. But, it's as Lenin said "There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen." 🤷‍♂️
