I did not know daikon radishes got this big in two months. I have to rethink when I sow the seed.

Try winter kill tillage radish to break up non-draining and heavy, compacted soils.

I have light fast draining soil. Radishes don’t kill in my climate. But I agree with ya.

I have never grown that but Daikon name comes from two Japanese words: dai, which means large, and kon, which means root.

May be it's just living up to its name πŸ™‚

Thanks! Did not know.

For real tho. I missed my planting window to get any big growth. I kept waiting for rain. I'm still waiting. Very odd fall.

I have about 80 of those. Usually I just add them to a cover crop mix and they stay the size of a thumb. It is still completely edible just had some with eggs. I will pickle the rest of that one. But in reality that will last the whole winter. Ya, weird fall here too, still no frost. Raspberries are still producing and a strawberry here and there. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

That thing is awesome

It is Kimchi time!

Starting it right now.

This daikon is full of energy.

Sure is. It is delicious too.

Why? That's wonderful. The more the merrier. You need less plants this way.

I like your thinking. True.
