The medium of exchange question seems highly political dependent for now. Politicians have to make it legal tender first.. such that there is no question/fears for people to freely exchange value. You can always transact in bitcoin, but you will do it freely if you know you won’t be fined/put in jail for it

afaik, legal tender only means that you muss accept debt settlements in that currency

Do you think it also does not imply that you can freely exchange it such that you can pay debt settlements (i.e. tax) with it w/o incuring another taxable event?
