Replying to Avatar The Bird

I still don't understand the pissing match between BTC and XMR. They are two different things that can be used together or for targeted use. Why not work together to maximize liberty, and privacy for people instead of arguing whether XMR is a shit coin? It seems to have privacy pretty well managed, and Bitcoin doesn't, granted I have really limited knowledge on this. It does seem nice that Monero is really private by default though.

I have a gut feeling that drives me to lump XMR with the rest of the shitcoin landscape. There's something about it and the people who support it that smells wrong, so I'll never touch it.

I don't get that from it and most of the XMR people I've interacted with, while limited, has always been pleasant. Pretty much everyone I've interacted with on nostr even when disagreement happens is the same though. So, not sure how good of a comparison that is lol.

I can see a dual use case though. The answer lies in the middle. I'm willing to set up a monero wallet so someone can zap me with it. I don't mind. I'll keep buying BTC though. It will take a solid hook to break me from that
