They just don’t make things like they used to. We’ve been in this new build home for 3.5 years and have already had the septic compressor fail on us. As you can see below, they make rebuild kits bc the were engineered to fail. That being said… what happened to the LED promise of 25 yr life expectancy? We have bulbs dying left and right. This whole engineering things to fail is total bull Sheeets!!

When I design or build something, I put my name on the line and take pride in my work Because I want a legacy that upholds my name and craftsmanship.

Who’s with me on bringing craftsmanship back to design?

The worst part is that the parts that fail cost more than buying another whole unit a lot of times. Throwaway culture I reckon.

For big appliances I try to buy multiples of the same thing (used mostly) so if one goes out it becomes the unit to pick apart for future fixes. Those old units are stashed out of view in the back of the chicken coop lol
