Bitcoin also has the double early-adopter problem for nation states in that not only does it make other states look bad and be less competitive if your country adopts it, it also makes it harder for the new state to raise taxes through skimming transactions like vat or gst, or by printing money, both being necessary at the moment to defend yourself from invasion by jealous legacy fiat states. Hence my wish is probably just a wish for now

So I’ll reiterate my point that powerful bitcoin ETFs are probably the best although not great option if you want bitcoin to have some power at the centralised bargaining table

Decentralized stuff doesn't need to sit at the bargaining table. Like nostr.

Just do it.

However compared to Bitcoin nostr is comparatively well designed.

You can’t expect tech that can survive attacks from any nation state to also succeed instantly

You've had 15 years did I mention that.

Yes you did and I mentioned that not everyone knew about it the day satoshi released the whitepaper, and then you said ‘well everyone has heard of it now’ and I addressed that point too.

Not sure why you keep relying on arguments you can’t defend and so instead throw out a different one-liner until you’ve exhausted all three you have and so just circle back to the first one and hope I forgot what you said like three two-line posts earlier

Here's the last of that debate quoted below I don't see a response to that.

Let me reiterate that I like the comparison to atheism because that one can be practiced decentralized in small circles just like Bitcoin and also lives alongside other belief systems just fine. But atheism got wildly popular on its merit meanwhile bitcoiners have to conjure up enemies to cope with their shortcomings.

Nation states don't need to adopt Bitcoin. Just you and your village or circle of friends. It's not happening because it's a shitty currency.

Evil enemies of Bitcoin are mostly conjured up to make it look legit, as in if it has enemies it must be for real.
