Went back to the grocery store today but couldn’t find this cashier.

Instead, I ran into the trope of the “little old lady” counting out pennies and holding the line up.

And you know what? Good for her. Probably one of the most based people in the store. Keeping private means of payment alive.

Hell yeah. I went to a pro shop yesterday and they refused cash. I mumbled like a grumpy old man the whole time " well I guess these people don't take money"

I think it would depend on if you could buy the item somewhere else because if you could then you could be like oh you guys don't take cash well I don't do business here and walk out.

I went to the dentist, where you normally pay after the procedure, the receptionist said we don't take cash, I said OK I won't pay. they took the cash 🤣🤣😂

once you reach a certain age, you make time to allow the old lady to put away her belongings, because in her time she gave her time so you give time. it's recognising their proof of work

I look forward to the next update in the saga of the peculiar cashier

Maybe it was a George Carlin situation…

No orange pilling little old ladies today?

Really he probably just thinks he’s too good for the job… I had a cashier do the same to me in the past and when I asked him, it boiled down to, they’re working and I wasn’t (because I already worked 10 hours)… all I could say was, could always be worse and walked away

This is a good reminder to always do things now. Plus people LOVE you for taking any interest in them. Asking him with how he's going probably would've made his day.

On that note, How're you doing today, Lyn? 😊

FYI pre 1982 pennies are worth 2.5 times more than face value.
