I was just watching a video of the best places to live in each state to be away from people and I’m definitely feeling like the panhandle of Nebraska is for me.

Northwestern Nebraska is nice, especially around the Sandhills.

I’ve never been there. The closest I’ve been was passing through the Dakotas and I liked it there although it was only a few days.

I live about 120 miles from western Nebraska.

I'd love to be more towards the mountains it seems pretty pricey. Small town Wyoming has a lot of appeal.

In Northwestern Nebraska, you'd be right by the Black Hills. Anytime you live in small mountain communities, housing is expensive.

I wish I had stopped by the Black Hills on the way through the area. I did stop in the Badlands and hiked for a bit and that wouldn't be tooo far.

I thought Eastern Montana was really nice too.

It's... Too flat. I need elevation changes and a variety of trees.

What's flat? There are mountains.........lol

Away off in the distance...

And rolling hills.

Not enough.

The Sandhillls.

Must be some great hiking around there.

Fishing and hunting also, if you're into that.

The Sandhills also has a huge Elk herd.

What are these? Hills for ANTS!? They need to be at least... Three times bigger!

I guess you don't have to go there then.

Nope. I'm an East Coast snob.

I would never go east of the Mississippi.

Fair enough. You live in a decent place. East of the Mississippi can be pretty rough.

But I used to go to eastern NE in the past. Past me dated a girl from NE. That was really dumb, but, at least it got me traveling.

Eastern Nebraska is much more flat, then the very western part.

I'm mostly being silly about your points. Though, I do prefer most of the Appalachian mountain chain to most other places on planet earth.

I can understand that. I'm the same with the Rocky Mountains.

I've only driven over the Rockies once, in a really bad uhaul. So I didn't enjoy that trip at all.

If I had the money for it living in the mountains of Alaska would be it for me. Some of the most beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen.

I totally agree. If I ever leave here, again that's where I'm going.
