Yeah, they told me how it changed in the last 10 years and also lost a bit of its "romanticism" (don't have better words). For me last year was the first time, but I still was amazed by the meltinpot of cultures, people, colours, smells, sounds.. but yeah, I do see your point and if I already wasn't used and lived in a place where it's easy to score drugs and get robbed is, I would feel less safe going around all alone.. for sure not a place I would feel at ease being a woman, unfortunately.

I moved out to the countryside years ago so it was a bit of a shock. I like the peace and quiet now.
