Most Bitcoiners are against B-Cash for legit reasons. Do what you want, but I advise you look into why they are so opposed to the use of B-Cash, and why it is not only entirely unnecessary, but also spearheaded by people with no discipline or respect for the tradeoffs involved. It might surprise you.
I used to be a crypto person. Now I'm a bitcoin only person. It's not mere closed-mindedness.
My point was at least in the case of Nostr.
Nostr can't be an open permissionless system that can gain traction if the network effects are designed for Bitcoiners only.
I simply used BCH as they're probably the most disliked group of people by BTC.
Mastodon, and Bluesky gain traction because they're more focused on a broader audience.

I hope so, it would be an interesting development.
If nostr is truly decentralized, there can be versions of it like this, whether or not it is added to the repo most people use for NIP specs. And nostr is truly decentralized. Ergo, someone can develop altcoin zaps for nostr. Whether or not it can be added to the main repo is simply then, assuming that nostr with altcoin zaps is defined as part of real nostr, the determining factor of whether the main NIP repo is the one true NIP repo.
Permissionless describes the protocolāno one can stop another user from using it to promote their scams. But no one can stop us from calling them out either.
I just think Nostr should encourage the crypto community at large to join because I think right now a lot of people are turned away from it since it can be an echo chamber at times.

I'm not a fan of Bitcoin Cash, but if all the Bitcoin cash folks flooded Nostr I would applaud it. If people are going to discuss various currencies and battle it out, it should be done here.
