This is totally random but several years ago an acquaintance in China remarked that she absolutely hated the following emoji -> πŸ™‚

To be precise it was the version on Weibo iirc, but the sentiment was the same - it looks like a fake smile - insincere - almost condescending.

I didn't really get it at the time but the more I see people use πŸ™‚ the more I tend to agree, especially when there are so many better alternatives, like 😁 , 😊 , πŸ˜ƒ and 😺 .

Anyone else bothered by πŸ™‚ or is it just me? πŸ€“
