In the Apple TV series “See” most of humanity died off or maybe left the planet (unclear yet) and the remaining population is blind. This is already some centuries later I guess.
It’s an interesting concept. The people live in tribes and villages in the wild but occasionally you see a piece of technology from current day.
Having sight is considered heresy and you get hunted down as a witch.
Even books are something some people have heard about but no one has experienced personally.
