That makes a lot of sense. It is still a big process of grieving, even if it is just stuff. Even grieving the belief that the memory is in the thing haha

It is just layers of emotions right now. I am also getting rid of some things that belonged to my best friend who died in 2024. So that added a new sense of exhaustion to the sorting today.

๐Ÿซ‚๐Ÿซ‚ so sorry, I can only imagine the emotional exhaustion from that.

I told the husband that I feel silly for wanting a book to teach me/tell me it's okay to throw things out.

A friend said asking "is this essential?" might help. I can see that helping cut through the emotions...always gotta make sure you are asking the right questions.

I definitely don't think it is silly. Hell, I need an emotional support person to hold my hand right now ๐Ÿ˜‚ A book is nothin'! But seriously, I think the book just guides you to think about it properly. Gotta reframe the situation with different thoughts. If a book gets you there, then do it!
