I don’t know what it is but I have less desire to share watermarked memes. Memes are made to be shared as templates. Why ruin that with your mark?

On one hand, I can understand being proud of your creative work and wanting to sign your art piece
On the other, I too am less inclined to repost/shared branded content or am annoyed that my post becomes an advertisement for someone/something else
Almost all of the meme builder websites I looked at had watermarks that were only able to be removed with subscription
I considered invisible watermarks (can't be seen by eye, but detectable through software), where the origin can still be proved without degrading the content
