We need a #Bitcoin Bill of Rights.

For instance:

I. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of peer-to-peer electronic cash, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.

II. Well generated private keys, well instantiated validating nodes, and well generated proof-of-work, being necessary to the security of a free economy, the right of the people to keep and bear math, shall not be infringed.

III. No Federal agent shall, in time of peace be quartered in any wallet or account, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

IV. The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, computers, and keys, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated.

V. No person shall be compelled in any criminal case to reveal his own private keys, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Please amend as you see fit.

One amendment I would make it change “bear math” to “compute math.”

Glad to see you posting here

I’m down for this!🤝🔥

Yep. Time to go on offensive because the attacks won’t stop coming.

Nice sentiments, but "they" already totally ignore the *existing* documents and do whatever they damn well please...🤬

Agreed, nostr:npub1j4u5gjzjyggr3h96x3gjy4akdgwxuk7mgvumv72gym2qyje7fn5s47d6x9 this is why I’m a fan of the 10th Amendment and leveraging the states as protection against the feds. Also why I’m supporting Satoshi Action Fund who is working to implement bills in each state that is the equivalent of what you posted above. Over time, with strong support at the state level we can get to the federal level, but you have to build the base and get a solid defense up before we try to go to war at the federal level.

BIG NO!

Nice. I'd do without the "unreasonable searches and seizures". The government should not be the one to decide what lies within reason

Nice draft! We need something like this.
