Bald eagles engage in a remarkable courtship display known as the “cartwheel courtship flight.” During this ritual, a pair of eagles will soar to great heights, lock talons, and then spiral downward together in a dramatic freefall, releasing their grip just before reaching the ground. This aerial performance serves to strengthen the bond between the mating pair.

When Hollywood depicts the Bald Eagle, they substitute in the call of the Red Tail Hawk.

The call of the Bald Eagle is a bit weak whereas the call of the Red Tail Hawk is powerful.

The bald eagle call strikes more fear into me when I hear it.

(I’ve chickens and both of those raptors around, the hawks are too small to tangle with a rooster casually)
