If even a slice of the money that has been poured into nostr development went into marketing and outreach, we might be in a very different place.

Also, for something that’s obviously the wrong method, why has it been the attitude of the developers and community for two years now?
as I said I don't think any of these developers has an idea of what to do (and you also don't)
you can see some attempts here and there like primal ad videos with naked men, some more design care in some landing pages of nostr apps and article writing in external publications or promotion videos, but is any of that fruitful? likely not

Maybe an organization dedicated to outreach and traditional marketing? There have been no shortage recent waves of users fleeing one place for another, but nostr has benefited minimally, if at all, as no one even knows it exists.

We all do together. I’m working on a quora/stackoverflow alternative. And slowly all those things will become better than the alternative bc of zaps
I know normies, and they're too hooked on algorithm driven slop that they are willing to be banned, censored and fed propaganda over it.
This will not change. Cherish the nerds, the tinkerers and the curious people that from time to time decide to make the jump.
At the end of the day it all boils down to how much are you willing to live your life as cattle.
Changing the trend is "easy", you just need to find a use case for nostr which people like, is not a clone of xitter, instagram, tiktok, etc. and have enough money for product development and marketing. Some people focus on agentic ai over nostr because they think that might be the advantage of nostr over closed platforms. Other people just code or vibe code random stuff, untill something starts sticking. But my guess here is that none of them have money for marketing or time to promote different use cases outside of nostr cicrcles. But no worries, per trend, we still have at least a decade or two before the last nostrich shuts down their relay.
