To be expected when something is overhyped and needlessly packed into everything.
I'm not saying there's nothing good there, but it's been ridiculously over hyped in my opinion. I know it doesn't pay anymore, but it would have been wiser to set realistic expectations for slow growth. Now I'm just being delusional 😂

Wow. This is quite a realization for me. I've noticed something similar with friends who got on the AI train. They're building AI enabled apps for work all day and are "interested" by it... to a point. It seems like they have been building things to intentionally kneecap it for some reason. I've noticed our talks have gotten less from "wow imagine what we can do with it" to more like "it should stay in it's corner and do this". I wish I could articulate this better, but it's strange how, very recently, people I know have quickly turned very sour, to the dreams of LLMs.
Like they saw something they don't want to talk about and it's haunting them.

Yeah, it wasn't just one thing, but I just went to use it, and then decided against it and picked up some cross-stitch and watched YT videos on sewing medieval winter dresses, instead.
It low-key grosses me out, at the moment.
Very interesting. I'm going to have to confront those friends to see if they felt similar.
