Why work around, to keep supporting a corrupt company, when you have the freedom to ditch them completely, but don't.
Isn't that similar to putting obstacles in your own way?

It's a fair question that I've pondered myself.
First and foremost, I prefer Apple to Google. Apple charges money for their products instead of offering free services to monetize you.
So I have Apple computers and also Apple phones for myself and my kids.
I have looked into Graphene and I would consider it if it was just for me.
However, I do use Apple to manage their screen time, what apps they use, etc and changing them all to Graphene is not something I want to do because they would hate it and Graphene is not setup to provide that kind of kid management services.
I already consider a win getting them to use Signal.
