So, I have an old mining rig that is taking dust.

Is there some kind of software that I could use to generate my own AI photos from existing pictures without the used of a paid cloud or license?

Something self hosted.

I would like to create a AI family book.

I said NO!

What kind of dust? The one i turn to after the last time you went skydiving, miss america?

🪂

No. Miners are ASICs that can only hash sha256. Nothing else. Machine learning models are more complex. Most of them run best on the CUDA cores in Nvidia graphics cards. Sell the mining ASIC on eBay, buy a used RTX 2060 12gb, run Stable Diffusion and AUTOMATIC1111 and get models from civit.ai and you can churn out garbage AI like this

I got AMD 8GB not ASIC. I read an article saying that I could run Stable diffusion on Linux with AMD card.

Can’t find much info though…

What exactly were you mining on? An AMD RX 580 8gb gpu? Not sure if stable diffusion runs on it. Nvidia cards with CUDA cores are best though

Only things I am aware of would be the Stable Diffusion and InvokeAI frontends. So far, there seems to not be too much automation. That said, you can look at autoGPT and friends or r/OpenLlama - sometimes they post AI automation there. But this is an interesting use case for sure! Just make sure your GPUs have sufficient CUDA support :)
