If I had a kid I would try to keep anything plastic away from them and offer better alternatives. If my kid objected to not being allowed to have something made of plastic and similar materials, I guess I would unfortunately have to restrict them as much as I can, which would unfortunately never be a complete amount without the kid in agreement.
