I'd understand it if they shilled it along btc, not instead of it, that's just retarded - who wants to hodl xmr?
I see a growing number of XMR advocates supporting a model of spend XMR + HODL BTC.
If adoption is the key, apart from the state going door to door to steal btc, that's the only way to get bitcoiners on your side imo - monero as another tool to privately spend sats. LN <> xmr swaps would be an ideal service.
